SW Florida Blues Society
Hey Blues fans there is a new source for keeping updated on local live blues music. The Southwest Florida Blues Society has been formed it is a non-profit corporation dedicated to local music.
We wanted to invite you all to come out to our charity check presentation.
We really appreciate all that you do for the Festival. Without you, the Bonita Blues Festival would not be able to give so much back to our local charities.
Thanks and we hope to see you there!

I am very proud to say on behalf of the Bonita Blues Charitable Foundation, that the 2012 Bonita Blues Festival was by far the most financially productive festival since its conception in 2007.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors including the City of Bonita Springs, the musicians, the volunteers, our vendors, all the advertisers in our program; tech-tronics for always having the best sound; and especially the complete committee that gives up so much of their time and energy to put this show together.
$18,000 Raised
We were able to give
away $18,000 to our charities that include The Bonita Springs
Assistance Office, The Music for Minors Program, The Music Therapy
Program at the Children's Hospital and The Wounded Warriors
Project. I have thanked a lot of people but I saved one group of
people so that they would get a special thank you and that goes out to all the attendees. You came from SW Florida and the surrounding area plus you traveled in from around the country and the world. All of us at the Bonita Blues Charitable Foundation started this event to try to create a quality Blues music show in a quality city with quality people and so far, thanks to all of you, it is happening!
Many Thanks
We would like to thank all blues society's around the world for keeping the blues alive but special mention needs to go out to the South Florida Blues Society, a great group of people that searched us out when we started this festival, not only show support for the festival but to become great friends in the process. To the Sun Coast Blues Society and the growing friendship with our little festival and I would not be doing my local duty if I do not mention the SW Florida Blues Society, our local blues society which is a young and growing Blues Society.
Please go to our website and join at www.SWFBS.org. and help us keep the BLUES a-live.
Thank you all for a great festival!

Even though our Michigan winter was pretty mild by most standards, I was ready for some sun and warmer temps. So my wife and I set out for the land of orange juice and snow birds. The Bonita Blues Festival is not a huge festival by any stretch and that’s exactly what we were looking for. The one thing that really impresses me is that the festival is run by a non-profit and all funds (after expenses) are donated to various local charities. The Bonita Springs Charitable Foundation is host and organizer and this year’s profits were going to Music for Minors, the Wounded Warrior Project, The Bonita Springs Assistance Office and new for this year is the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida Music Therapy. I mean how cool is it when the foundation putting on the festival starts their own blues society, the Southwest Florida Blues Society. Very cool! I think its called dedication to the blues.
