Rastus Kain
Rastus Kain is a talented slide guitarist/singer/songwriter who has been playing blues professionally for over 20 years. He and his band have toured regionally throughout Florida, the Caribbean, across the United States, and as far away as Germany.

Rastus has shared the stage with artists such as Greg Allman, Dan Tolar, Pat Ramsey, Donald "Duck" Dunn and Chris Layton, just to name a few. He and his band have opened for Foghat, Molly Hatchet, Eric Burden, Otis Rush, The Chambers Brothers and many other well-known artists. Most recently they performed in the American southwest with Tab Benoit & Canned Heat.

The band would like to welcome new bass player, icon Richard "Hombre" Price, who played with Duane Allman and played/recorded with such greats as Lucinda Williams, Vassar Clements, and Texas outlaw Jerry Jeff Walker. They are taking their high-powered brand of blues rock on the road this summer with confirmed dates in Chicago, Kentucky, Texas, Arizona, and Nashville as well as locales to be announced soon. Check the website periodically for schedule updates.

Rastus Kain may be the finest electric slide guitarist in the state of Florida, if not the whole South, and he is also a gifted songwriter. Kain shines with his 66 Firebird slide work and weathered vocals. His rhythm section provides a solid base for his amazing guitar leads and slide guitar style. Together, they make a unique electric blues power trio that makes every groove their own and will rock your socks off!!!

Rastus Kain and the Blame, in from Florida, spit out some gator-stomping swamp rock. Rastus himself, swamp hat pulled low, proved to be quite capable of ripping out the riffs on such covers as Sonny Boy Williamson’s “One Way Out” along with self-penned tunes such as “Son of the Blues”, “Ole Milwaukee Blues”, and “Pee Wee Shuffle”. Rastus and the boys put on the show as if they were playing to a packed Orange Bowl. We purchased one of his CDs and found it fun and bluesy; just like his stage act.
