The Bonita Blues Charitable foundation is dedicated to those in our community that need a helping hand in these challenging times. The proceeds from the 2009 Bonita Blues Festival were donated to the Bonita Springs Assistance Office, and they have been able to leverage the contributions to provide assistance to those in our community in need. A heartfelt thank you to our advertisers, sponsors and donors – you really do make a difference in people’s lives.

We will once again donate to the Bonita Springs Assistance Office in 2010. Since its founding in 1979, the Bonita Springs Assistance Office has been recognized as the primary social service agency in our area. The Bonita Springs Assistance Office believes in providing a “hand up” and not a “hand out.” The assistance office helps clients who are able to work locate jobs and become productive members of the community. They also specialize in working with elderly residents and families with young children. All donations remain in this area to benefit residents in crisis. Over the years, these emergency programs have helped thousands of residents get back on their feet. See www.bonitaassistance.org for a list of services provided. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Music for Minors Foundation an organization that provides musical instruments for students that cannot afford them. See www.music4minors.org.

We are expanding the festival in 2010 to include Friday night in an effort to increase our contributions from the event. Please consider sponsoring or donating to the event so we can make this the most successful Bonita Blues Festival ever.
